God Help the Girl is a quirky little oddball film filled with well composed musical numbers, romance, and the occasional drama.
Based on the 2008 book by Jo Nesbø, this Danish-Norwegian thriller follows Roger Brown, a headhunter for a corporate business who doubles as an art thief in order to support his incredibly lavish lifestyle. He discovers an opportunity to obtain a rare art piece, and risks everything to get it.
I watched a pretty good movie tonight called He Never Died. Starring Henry Rollins, the film is about Jack, a man who lives a simple, and seemingly boring life, until his daughter Andrea arrives on his doorstep. Then, all hell breaks loose, and we discover that there is far more to this mysterious man’s life than we first believed.
What can I say about this movie? It is not particularly a note worthy film, though it is entertaining. I would classify it as one of those midday tv movies you watch when you are doing the ironing or are too sick to be bothered to change the channel.
